...and if you do, you are not having near as much fun as the rest of us.

My guy told me today to lower my intake of carbs, and lose 20 pounds. That's the last time I go to see him.

how do u tell? i get blood drawn every 6 months cause of cholesterol and the results on liver are always good. which pisses my wife off to no end cause i tend to enjoy a shot or 2 of bullett bourbon on a regular basis. and i need to lose 20 lbs too. but do the blood tests tell if liver is fatty? btw, the last time he told me i need to lose 20 lbs i said look whos talking.

I've put on some pounds myself over the last several years after I gave up smoking +/or snuff. My ex used to say "Let's go walking" at the end of the day when I got home. Hell, I'm on my feet all day long in the shop so the last thing I want to do after I come home is take a hike. So just for grins, I bought a pedometer to see how many, iles I actually walked in a day in my shop, going from here to there, etc. An average of 12 miles a day. Now one would think to a rational person that that would make sense, but I was talking about an ex-wife (another reason for ex).

First comment I got regarding fatty liver was by the technician during a chest X-ray. Later a pain under my right rib cage sent me to a liver specialist. He did a FibroScan. https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-c...ur-fibroscan-results That ultrasound scan will give him a feel for fibrosis (scarring) and steatosis (fatty level). My guy didn't try to cut-out alcohol or BBQ, so maybe I'll give him a second chance. In regard to weight, he said cut-out or reduce carbs; specifically rice and pasta. He recommended a Mediterranian diet.

Girlfriend has sclerosis + not much fun with that. She has not had a drink in over 10 years + that has helped.

Well get this... I had an angioplasty back in February and they put me on generic crestor, minimum dose.... just had my blood work done and got a warning that my cholesterol was TOO LOW!

So I went out and had a bunch of shrimp and a steak. Smiler I'll see what the doc says about this when I see him next week.

Kinda reminds me of Red Foxx's comment. "All you folks that don't drink, don't smoke, don't run around, eat right, etc. are gonna look funny as hell lying up there in the hospital dying from nothing.'
