Depending on what sort of "camping" I'm doing, either my MSR Whisperlite or my Colman white-gas 2-burner stove.

But I'll sometimes also cook over an open campfire, if I'm somewhere where I can have one.

If I’m truly car camping then hands down the big green Coleman 2 burner stove. I prefer the white gas version as propane can be problematic at higher altitudes and cold weather.

If I lived in the southern tier of states or the west coast I would use propane in all likelihood.

If I am going to park and hike in a bit, I use Tue Whisperlite International. I have a foldable windscreen for it if I cannot find a way to block the wind and it definitely benefits from a wind screen around the pot.

I keep one other single burner stove in the basement in reserve. My faithful and trusty companion of over 35 years, the SVEA 123.

————————————-—————————————————————Hope you got your things together. Hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like we’re in for nasty weather. One eye is taken for an eye.
