I am looking for recommendations for a taxidermist in Corpus Christi,Texas. This past weekend I took my first turkey with a big bore. The bird is 26lbs, has an 11 inch beard, and spurs just under an inch. I knew immediately I would have this one mounted. Now it is just a matter of where.

Hey Andy,

I just got your message. My cell phone was turned off for a few days since I am not working this week. You didn't leave me your number and my caller ID doesn't record #'s if a message is left. Go figure!

I see that Jerry has got you all set though.

Congrats on a great bird!!!

I decided to go with Eric Schmidt over at

www.aliveagainrecreations.com

Eric has done work for CBarnes too!

Eric specializes in waterfowl and upland birds. When he saw my turkey he was really excited aboout the great condition, no broken bones and properly filled out tag! He also stated it is a really heavy bird.

Maybe I should have gotten an official weight if it would have played into the record books.

Says I should get it around june or july.

Strutting.

Andy

For Turkey mounts, I use Chris Butt (Wildlife Taxidermy) in Madison, TN. He does excellent work on Turkey's.
