Changing a mounted lion's pose ??

I have an african lion I took in northern zimbabwe about 6 years ago. The taxidermist did an excellent job. I always have wished, though, that I could change his "slack jaw" a bit. I would like if his mouth was a litte more open. I have heard you can re-wet them possibly and change the pose ? I know this is playing with fire on the face,or is it ?
Any input? Thanks

You would have to re hydrate the entire head and re mount it. Not an easy job, it could be done but not quick or cheap.

He was. He was going to throw it in the dumpster , I found it behind his house when I made a delievry. He had moved it out of his trophy room and it was going to the dump till I told him I could redo it.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Those remounts are truly a lot of work and expertise is required. The end result of a job well done is worth the effort and expense.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
