I just spent a few minutes looking those over. Iniotially I thought they were a bit busy but I really started warming up to them. I like the Africa-shaped pedestal base. Nice work. To me they are too busy, I don't follow the current trend in taxidermy of huge elaborate pedistal mounts. In my mind they detract from the animal. To each their own I guess.

As opposed to your normal shoulder mount that is normally hung 10-12 feet on the wall, never to be touched or seen eye to eye again. I think those pedestals look great. I also think they would work really well with guys who hunt exotic animals in Texas. You could put all the common exotics on the same pedestals. Keep the pictures coming

I agree... those are very nice and would be good for someone running out of wall space. -------------------------------------------- National Rifle Association - Life Member National Wild Turkey Federation - Diamond Life Sponsor Pope & Young Club - Associate Member

Absolutely stunning. I really enjoy your pictures, keep 'em coming. Over 40 years ago I took a correspondence taxidermy course---Northwestern School of Taxidermy. I was a kid at the time and the tweety bird population in my neighborhood really took a hit providing me with practice specimens. I worked mosty with birds but did a few game heads. None of my game head mounts ever came even close to what is being produced now days. You guys are real artists.

Sidnye, I bought my lessons from J C Elwood and the Northwestern School of Taxidermy 43 years ago. Getting those lesson books was like having Xmas come in the mail. I lived in the city 1 mile outside Detroit and with my BB gun the bird population almost went extinct....I didn't enjoy mounting birds so turned my specialty to Mammals... I still have my booklets from back then. Producing the Highest Quality Custom Wildlife Mounts for discriminating clients.
