for quite a few years now I have wanted to build a log home w/ big timber trusses.

go west & shoot a lion

have someone mount the lion so it appears to just be laying like this one but on a log beam instead of the rock ledge.

very nice mount

More beautiful work by a master.

One question: what's the white on the back leg?
Just whiter hair? OR healed up injury maybe that discolored?

Thanks for sharing,
George

I've got a leopard on its way now. I want the same pose, just on a tree branch rather than a rock. Nice work.

Great and the cat looks very relaxed which must be difficult to do. Really good stuff.

Taxidermists can model the mountain cat's posture and positioning from positions taken naturally by domestic cats.

There is no position that either can take that the other cannot, so having a live domestic cat to watch can be a priceless education... or inspiration....

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
