I had a bear hide done by a Canadian shop and the story I am getting is that it’s done but he can’t ship it because of government COVID shut down. It’s been payed in full for 11 months and I am in the USA. Any words of advice? | ||

You might contact the Canadian Provincial Game & Fish department and inquire as to their current regs on export. Sometimes they can be quite helpful. Hopefully, that might be the case. I would expect you to be charged an import inspection fee from our USF&W ($95 last I knew) at the point of entry. There could still be a ban on entry to Canada but not sure why they would prevent exports unless Trudeau wants to follow Heir Biden's example of how to destroy a nation in quick easy steps. Got a hold of the outfitter and he said he could send me a picture of 15-20 hides ready to ship from the Taxidermist shop. So till the Canadian government can or will get the paperwork done they set there waiting to ship. Also learn that spring and fall bear hunting was closed for him so the bears are one year older and fatter! | |||
