That's a question you have to answer yourself. Many well qualified taxidermists can give you great ideas for 2 single mounts or a double. But you know how your living space is arranged. One bit of advice I can give you is think of the attitude or emotion you want in your trophy room or home and let these beauties accent that. Congrats on the kitties. I hope your mounts excede your dreams.

Wow, 2 leopards in 1 year. Here is the leopard he did for me, I think you will have a hard time finding someone who does better work on cats.

I am sorry but I have no pics of a double leopard mount. I have never done a double leopard mount for a client but hopefully I will have a client as luck as you one day. There are an endless number of "scenes" that you could have recreated. One thing that would help you decide would be to first decide whether you need the mount to hang on a wall or floor mounted. Best of luck to you. Hopefully lion hunting will be as easy for you.

Congrats on two leopards in one year! I'll be excited if I can ever get one. Did you shoot them on the same hunt or on separate trips? I do have a photo, thanks to Artworks Taxidermy, of part of a couple's trophy room in Northern California. Last time I saw it, there was 11 leopards in their trophy room. This is the top part of the rock where most of their leopards are concentrated. Animal Artistry has some nice ideas in their pose book. Hope this helps, good luck in your decision. ____________________________ If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ... 2018 Zimbabwe - Tuskless w/ Nengasha Safaris 2011 Mozambique - Buffalo w/ Mashambanzou Safaris

Two toms aren't going to be bud's, so you might think about two fighting over a bushbuck. If your not into fight scenes, consider your taste, trophy room and space. Congrats on the pair Anton! From time to time, you will get two toms that form a coalition. We had two (as well as a female) on the same bait at the same time in July. I shot and killed one and his mate didn't leave the general bait site for the better part of an hour. While rare, it happens. http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/5261081731 Will J. On the same trip this year I got two, Ive hunted two 21 days safaris before without getting one. Thank you for all the photos/pm I have received. It will be some time before my skins arrive in US so I dont need to decide yet. Will, what pose did you choose for your leopards ? Thanks

What a great problem to have! Congrats firt of all. I would have to go with two different pieces. One with a nice habitat and maybe the other a more formal piece with a nice piece of wood work base.

Anton: This year's cat will be mounted much like 505's that is pictured above except that the rock will be atop a walnut base rather than hung on the wall. Last years will be walking up a slight incline much like Jack Bold's that was mounted by wildlife gallery, again on a walnut base. I would also like to have one straddling a branch, asleep and one lying on a rock or branch, but awake and alert. I have two 21 day hunts in 2011 and 2012 and hope to get three and four sorted out at that time. Will J. Parks, III

Anton, I can only dream about having to make a choice such as yours. But if it was me, I would have two separate mounts, and here's why. A mount of a single leopard is a pretty awesome and impressive thing to look at, and would likely be the focal point in just about any room in your house. A double mount, with two leopards, will not make it much more awesome to look at. But with two separate mounts, you have the option of putting them both in the same room, or in two separate rooms, therefore having two different rooms with a spectacular leopard in each room. You don't have that option with a double mount. Also, a double mount would likely be a lot larger piece, which limits the locations in your house where it would fit. I think Will Parks has the right idea. Two separate mounts with the cats in positions that are quite different from each other. Anyway, that's my way of thinking, right or wrong.

My personal opinion is two seperate mounts, I've never seen a double Leopard mount that looked all that great. Jerry Huffaker State, National and World Champion Taxidermist

What about making two mounts with two bases, but have them setup in a way that the bases can be combined to form one. Get the best of both worlds. ____________________________ If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ... 2018 Zimbabwe - Tuskless w/ Nengasha Safaris 2011 Mozambique - Buffalo w/ Mashambanzou Safaris
