My South African Outfitter has recommended "Moredou Taxidermy" Has anyone used them before? What was the quality of their work? Were they resonably priced and efficient?

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

The only taxidermist in Africa I would use would be Lifeform. Most everything I've had done here in the States, but the couple of things I've had done and everything I've seen from Lifeform has been top-notch. Good luck!

I use Highveld in RSA, they are top notch and some of the best in all of Africa.

Thanks!

BRING THEM HOME. 13 TRIPS TO AFRICA, YOU WILL NOT SAVE MONEY BY HAVING THEM DONE THERE WHEN THEY NAIL YOU WITH SHIPPING

I agree with jeff h.
Just bring them home. Dont spend a cent more than you have to on african taxidermists and their scoundrel shipping agents.

Unless someone knows specific problems with Moredou please do not lump them into the South Africa taxidermists are all bad discussion. I have used them twice before really like their work. I visit them every time I go, she sends me updates, does custom work for me. I can only say I will continue to use them I am not suggesting everyone should use them but they have passed many tests…time, communication, consistency, quality and affordability.

I have received references and pictures of at least a dozen people that have used Moredou Taxidermy. Everyone says they do excellent work and are very easy to deal with and their pricing is fair.

I have decided that I will be using them to mount all my trophies from South Africa in October.

Bring them home to you. It will save you peace of mind. Im sure they are good taxidermist but its a safe bet to have your taxidermist do them. They should give you shipping tags and all the paper work you need to leave with the game to get your trophies back to your taxidermist-where ever they may be...Have a great time.... Cool archer
