Hey everyone. I recieved a phone call the other day from Louis Riccardi from New Jersey. He saw the several posts about High Country and Edwin and gave me a call. Apparenyly his son, Louis Riccardi jr., was the pathfinder award winner at the 2008 SCI awards banquet. Louis suffers from spina bifida, a spinal cord malformation that causes paralysis. His mother and father, whom I both spoke with were nearly in tears and distraught about their problem. From the pathfinder award, Louis won a hunt in Argentina and was able to harvest 8 animals, from sheep to stag to water buffalo. It seems Edwin was "gracious" enough to "donate" 8 shoulder mounts to this family for their son. Well, you guessed it, they can't get ahold of him and it has been 3 years since the hunt took place. Apparently, their last contact was quite some time ago and Edwin said all the animals were tanned and ready to go but they can't get him to return any correspondence what-so-ever. I don't know if anyone is close by enough, or knows him enough to try to get the ball rolling to get the skins and horns back to this family so they can seek out another taxidermist/s to help. Louis said that SCI wasn't very helpful and is at his wits end. He said he has no problem paying to get these specimens shipped back to NJ but he can't even get him on the phone.
Here's a link to Louis' SCI page... If anyone can help, let me know and thanks.....

As if his life isn't difficult enough.

If they manage to get the trophies bback to NJ and need a truly exceptional taxidermist who is also a genuine family man and good person and right here in New Jersey, give Paul Bacskoczky a call. I stopped by his place regularly and he was in regular contact as he proceeded on our African trophies.

Here is a thread from a few days ago with some photos of his work and his website:

Good luck with everything.

hornady- Why dont you post on here how you can assist; helping multiple(10?50?100?or more) customers get their mounts back, and tens of thousands of dollars returned. I am sure we all would like to know since he has a injunction/restraining order by the Wisconsin Courts/ Department of Justice
