Chris and I made a beautiful mountain lion rug for Dan a while back. He was so pleased with the finished product that he asked if I could take a look at his zebra rug, that was done elsewhere, with hopes to restore it to a rug he would be proud to display.

Rug upon presentation:

Airplane/dog ears, nostrils left open, eyes not sewn shut, forehead not laid flat, hot glued to a piece of scissor edged felt.

Soaked and removed the hot glue which covered the whole inside of the ears.

Positioned the ears properly, sewed nostrils and eyes shut, re-stretched the whole rug and flattened the forehead properly.

Finished restored rug with a nice leather border and carpet backing.

You rock, Mary! Great save.
Wanna try another? I've got one in my family room floor that's getting pretty ragged. Same issues as this one.

I'll call ya.

Thanks, all!
Scotty, let's see what we can do with that skin. Your buddies zebras are coming up in rotation soon. Smiler

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Mary, great job tu2

I still think your leather border and carpet backing is the best, just a shame I can't find anyone this side to it.

All the best
