Great mounts! I've been after both of them, but still haven't got good trophies to mount. One day, two full mounts like this will shine in my trophy room (hopefully) Big Grin

The muntjac is very good.

Looks like the CWD lost a little bit of hair between the eyes there. Thats a very common problem as they are incredibly loose furred.

Personally I think the neck on the CWD is a little too bulky. They are more of a "dainty" deer like a roe rather then heavy set like a muntjac. However, its a good effort and nice to see full mounts of them.

That CWD certainly has a very good set of tusks on him. I have seen an awful lot of them, and rarely do you see such a nice one.

Well, compared to a live Chinese Water Deer, I'd have to say Anthony is pretty much on the mark! Nothing dainty about this fellow!

Also, like any Deer species, they can all have thicker or thinner appearing necks depending on how stressed or attentive they may be, as seen in this young buck.

Otherwise, Anthony's mount is spot-on!

Great job on both deer!

John.

Congrats, both very nice animals. The CWD is especially long

I agree that (in the photo) the nect does look just a bit thick, it havent seen photo of the animal live, so as long as its what you remember and are haopy with... Then great!

Congrats
