Looks like a real live elk to me! I opened the thread and only saw the top part of the photo - thought it was a reference photo.

Pose and eyes first, then skin, etc. make a mount. Realistic horn/antler placement next.
Looks like you score high in my book!

I think it is great. I especially like the interior detail of the mouth. It would be a wonderful addition to my trophy room!

Great looking mount for sure!
If I could add a touch of constructive critisim, the ear butt placement and ear location need to be worked on a bit. Too low and at too harsh of an angle..

Well, I can tell you're certainly not in MY class. That piece is excellent work and the mouth detail is about as good as you'll get.
