DTalaWhitetail mount
I've got a whitetail mount I thought I'd share with the good folks here. I did not mount it although I planned to. My friend Joel Stone of Stones Taxidermy in Leeds alabama is the very talanted artist. Joel wanted it for a competition mount. Summer killed deer with velvet antlers and typical short/patchy summer coat of hair. Tough assignment....

best piece of whitetail taxidermy I've seen. Took second in the World Taxidermy Competition maybe two or three yars ago.

Mary Hilliard-KruegerNot everyone likes those half shed haircoats, but I sure do. I really like those late summer in velvet deer. Very clean mount. Nice finish work. Was that a second in Masters or Open at the World Show?

safari-lawyerJoel is a good friend of mine. Done several safaris for me as well as many whitetails. He's one of the best turkey hunters I know.
