Nice mount!

Is that a Hare? Where did it come from and how much did it weigh? He looks huge.

As mentioned, you did an excellent job. Congrats on doing something many Taxidermist fail at: a natural looking canine predator. LDK

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

VERY NICE! I grabbed for my rifle when I first opened the thread. Wink

We have tons of them around here, I'd be glad to send them all to you if I could.

That's a very nice piece. I would offer a suggestion that on the next one, make the ears a little tighter to the head and pull them closer to the skull. The ear butts are distended a bit. What makes this piece better is your aggressive pose. The hackles are raised, the tail is tucked and he has a "you owe me money" look in his eye rotation. A yote in that posture would have those ears tucked back getting ready to take on whatever unseen villian he has out in front of him. I think it's an especially nice and thought provoking piece.

Sam:

I just saw your post and am impressed. In my opinion, getting a predator to look life-like is what sets a "stuffer of animals" apart from an artist. Please post some more of your work.
