Please post some pictures. We think a full body mount might overwhelm.

Not really a shoulder mount or a half mount, but more of a 33% mount. If I ever shoot a lion I will absolutely have someone do a modern take on this victorian style. These days, one could do some really nice artificial habitat and either modern or classic bamboo framing for the box. You could also do some curved glass on the front and have the lion face out from a corner.

I believe one of these (or one just like them) is displayed in Nairobi's Muthaiga Club.

Dave,

Chris did this one in 2002 for a customer on the east coast that felt the same as you do about a lifesize mount. It was a closed mouth form that he opened up for the panting look.

While I think a lion is so rare and expensive it warrants a lifesize mount, there was a pedestal one on display at the DSC. I believe it was in the Adam Clements booth, perhaps someone got a photo.

Of all animals in the world I personally think the lion has to be a lifesize mount. They are just to regal and sadly going to become more rare.
