Very nice!! How many hours did you have in this piece? Tell me about the tongues??

The Artistry of Wildlife
about 30 hours into it. The tongues are generic from Joe Coombs but if you know the secret you can make them do anything you wish and it's easy.

Backstory: One deer was dead half eaten by coyotes. Young hunter came upon the one alive dragging what was left of the other and filled his tag in Oklahoma. They score 140 and 160 approx.

Thnanks Tim, here you see an example of the client saying here are the bucks, do it your way.

Some other hunters even on here have done this also and don't put restrictions on me as an artist and let my imagination loose. To many locked buck are done like shoulder mounts and passive because they hold the taxidermist to limits on pose , attitude and design. Rance's Dad said go with what you feel and do it your way.

Way cool, both the story and taxidermy!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.
