| dog was a cannonball english setter that turned out to be one of the best dogs we've ever had. it was my first english, but a long ways from the last. at the time my old hunting buddy stewart shaft had killed a ram in alaska that took a bad tumble down the hill. the cape was OK but the rest was to rough to use, so he donated a new leg. that hunt was the same one that he was on when jack lee crashed |
