Hi all, I have received my Namibian plainsgame skulls and horns. Overall, they are in excellent condition, but I find that some have lost the color at the base (impala in particular). The kudu horns are very dry and dull, as well, I will never forget how smooth they felt the day I killed him, and I'd like to get them as close to normal as possible.

Is there a way to restore the color and lustre that I can tackle on my own?

Thanks to all here, I have some great ideas for shoulder mounts and backskin pillows now!

Home already?! Good for you. An early Christmas present for sure. Love the story of the safari.
