Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
Mary,
I've seen some coyotes with some gorgeous markings (none as nice as this one though) in areas where dogs simply aren't found too easily. That being said my vote is for darn nice mount of a yote. (And the nicest mount I've seen of one. The emotion is singing in that one. Well done)

Jerry HuffakerSure could be Mary, but we'll never know. It makes for good conversation I'll bet. Beautiful mount, I love it.

Mary Hilliard-KruegerWe thought coydog because the muzzle was shorter, there were a few white toenails and the German Shepard looking black markings on the front of the legs. As Jerry stated, we will never know.
Ann, you have a PM coming your way. Just finished stretching your skins today.

Wendell ReichWell, I have no idea, but the taxidermy work is excellent. Great pose and great job making that pose come to life.

FRANKIE2000Where was this taken at because it looks a lot like this red wolf to me.

TrophyShotPrintsAll I have to add is that's a very beautful job!
Excellent in my books anyways!...

the body looks 100 % coyote. The ears seem a bit short, and the legs almost look like he has some Red Fox in him.
But I agree. Absolutely beautiful mount.
