NM posted the big game draw results yesterday. Who's headed this direction and what are you hunting?

No luck for myself. Couple friends drew elk and deer so I'll be tagging along. Had a good run in NM but the last few years have been a bust.

Nothing for the 13th time. I really need to suck it up and go with an outfitter or buy a landowner tag. I would really like to hunt NM one time.

Hang in there. I applied for ibex about five years ago and was drawn. It was the only time I applied for any hunt in New Mexico before or since. It can happen.

I drew Mule Deer unit 30 Oct 28- Nov1. Second time for me to draw this tag in three years. Two years ago I was stopped by the NMFG as I was leaving to check my kill and he thought we were crazy hunting this unit with so many hunters out at the same time? We only had two hunters walk through where we were setting and they spooked the deer we killed the next day, Their spooking the deer was what I was expecting and it paid off for the hunt.

Some good, some bad.

Out of the 15 tags our family applied for, we drew four: bull elk muzzleloader and deer rifle for me, youth oryx for my eldest, and youth antelope for my second kid. Looks like fall will be busy enough here in NM to keep me from Wyoming. Frowner
