Just found out the wife and I were drawn for the Big Game Combo for MT, and are looking for outfitters that have a good success rate on good elk and mulies.

Any help or recommendation appreciated!

SW Montana @ Dillon/Ennis area is a good place to start. The elk have really taken a pounding from the wolves and this spring's calf crop will take a hit as well in the next few months. I had to work extra hard last year to get my bull. Took 2 ft. of snow in the high country to work it's magic. My advice is to book early or wait till the last week to go where weather may work in your favor.

Congrats on drawing........FYI everyone who applied for a big game combo drew.....100% success because so few applied........now they're being sold OTC. I drew a Deer A tag.

I can get you a name in the E. central part of the state if interested.

I have just received a price reduction on a private land combination whitetail and elk hunt near Dillon, Montana. You can do either just elk, or the combo. Elk alone is $2850; the combo is $3500. Last two weeks in November are the openings, 5 day hunts. Guided 2X1. Meals and lodging not included but available quite reasonably locally. 307-637-5495 or email bmoahunts@bresnan.net.

I can recommend an outfitter in the Milk River area. They take nice elk and both whitetails and mule deer every year. I've hunted antelope with them. You'll stay on their working cattle ranch, down home hospitality! Drop me a PM if you think this area will work for you.

How about my hunt offered in the outfitter section.
http://forums.accuratereloadin...2100588/m/6641087151

I am the outfitter and I will be in camp during the hunt. Our elk hunting is great and our deer are just getting good ( not great but getting better) My website link is on in the listing also.
Thanks Continental Divide Outfittes

Butch, thanks but I am not interested in Whitetails. Have 140 to 180 class walking through my yard.

Yep heard that, only reason we applied is we had preference points built up. This will be our last hunt in MT. In the future i'll just fish.

Sign me up! I hunted the Armendaris a few years back for oryx and it cost me $1500. Just let me know where to send the check dancing

Also, the guy I PM'd you about is the real deal. I'm not making a commission for a referral or getting anything in return. I sent you his name because he is who I would personally hunt with if I drew the tag. He may be booked but it's worth calling him to see if there is a chance

Never used his guiding service, no. But Monte is a good friend of a good friend and seems to offer what you are looking for (as well as others mentioned here do) I was just trying to give you more options.

Good Luck.
