I put this in gunsmithing too but would like as many viewers as possible, so I repeated it here.

Alberta gunsmith?

Just make sure that you have the proper paperwork to bring the barrel into Canada.It may considered a gun part which requires an import permit.

check out these guys. Dawson Creek is in BC but they are very close to the Alberta border by Grande Prairie, Alberta

Rocky Mountain Rifles in Dawson Creek have done good work for me.

FWIW, you don't need an import permit from Canadian authorities if you are bringing in a barrel blank as a gift. You will need an export permit from the US state department though.
