stubblejumperJust make sure that you have the proper paperwork to bring the barrel into Canada.It may considered a gun part which requires an import permit.

Mighty Peacecheck out these guys. Dawson Creek is in BC but they are very close to the Alberta border by Grande Prairie, Alberta

FWIW, you don't need an import permit from Canadian authorities if you are bringing in a barrel blank as a gift. You
will need an export permit from the US state department though.
