quote:HEY Mr Greenhorn, What sort of cow catching Partitions do you suggest ? I've actually thought about this in Idaho as well !! With the new "HIT IT AND KEEP IT" rule they have in Idaho I thought I could take my truck and Wack a critter and with only a 1k deductable, would save several thousand's of $$'s in "GUIDING" fee's. Here is a picture of a Moose I've recently taken that way AND here is a deer that I hit with my Dodge. It flipped it over the hood and It landed "GUTTED" and all in the back of the truck.... I'm DAM proud of this deer !!! It was taken on PUBLIC roads during LEGAL hunting hours... I didn't have to hire a driver or more then 25 gallons of gas to bag this critter.. Errr.. "Harvest" or whatever you treehuggers call killing a buck [ 11-26-2002, 21:42: Message edited by: Moosie ]

It is and has always been difficult for me to take the time off (from the family, work, etc.) to hunt so when I do get in the bush I only use "premium" bullets, those being Partition's and X's. I have never had a problem with bullet performance.

I've killed elk using Hornady interlock bullets in 30-06 (190 BTSP) and 35 Whelen improved (250SP). Both were very effective. All told I've done more hunting with Hornady bullets than any other (243, 25-06, 270, 30-06, 35 Whelen AI).
