Just a question, but what is the status of CWD in that area? Not trying to stir any pot here, but CWD was confirmed in Mule Deer in a county or counties in Texas south of the New Mexico/Texas state lines in that corner where the states come together. From what I have researched it seems to be more a situation of isolated cases, but I know many folks have real concerns about hunting in areas with confirmed cases of the disease. Even the rocks don't last forever. | |||

The CWD problem in TX was over around El Paso, probabaly 300 miles from where this hunt is. | |||

Like I said, just checking. Some folks have concerns about hunting in areas where CWD has been recorded, some don't. I fall into the don't care group. However, when CWD was found in the unit in Colorado where I hunt elk, several of the outfitter I hunt with, booked clients canceled because of it. Even the rocks don't last forever. | |||

I believe Unit 34, Southern Sacramento Mtns, is the only area south of I40 that is on the CWD watch list.
