CrazyhorseconsultingJust a question, but what is the status of CWD in that area? Not trying to stir any pot here, but CWD was confirmed in Mule Deer in a county or counties in Texas south of the New Mexico/Texas state lines in that corner where the states come together. From what I have researched it seems to be more a situation of isolated cases, but I know many folks have real concerns about hunting in areas with confirmed cases of the disease.

The CWD problem in TX was over around El Paso, probabaly 300 miles from where this hunt is.

Like I said, just checking. Some folks have concerns about hunting in areas where CWD has been recorded, some don't. I fall into the don't care group.
However, when CWD was found in the unit in Colorado where I hunt elk, several of the outfitter I hunt with, booked clients canceled because of it.

PanchoI believe Unit 34, Southern Sacramento Mtns, is the only area south of I40 that is on the CWD watch list.
