Geedubya, seeing the picture of the sling shot, course that ain't what we called them in the Pre-PC days, brought back memories from when I was a kid in school in Newcastle, Texas. There were two brothers that lived outside of town, just up from the Brazos River. Both these boys were mentally afflicted to a degree, and both of them always carried a sling shot made from shed deer antlers with strips of inter-tube and a small rectangle of soft leather attached as the stone, or in their case steel ball bearings, holder and they were pretty dang good with those things.

No trips planned for later this year, but did manage to take a hog a couple months ago with my old and faithful 30-06.
