Does anyone know of a site where the various hunting reg.s of the 50 U.S. states would be available?

I am interested in finding out how the various states regulate their "draw" systems for different game animals, both for resident and non-resident hunters and for "non-resident aliens".

I understand that there are some quite effective setups in place and Americans from one state may hunt in another. for example. Any site references would be appreciated.

Unfortunately most States do not publish how they regulate their draw systems in their Fish and Game websites. They are published in obscure general laws and regulations sections of each individual State's Adminstrative laws, codes and regulations. Unfortunately these regulations and laws are also called by different titles in each indivdual state.

What a person would have to do is contact each individual State's Game & Fish Department (or Fish & Game Dept, or Dept of Natural Resources, or Department of Game Management, etc.) and ask for the specific "code of regulation" (or "Adminstrative law", or "Adminstrative regulations" etc)

It will be a tedious search to say the least.

Here's a list of links,

Listing of U. S. State Departments of Natural Resources,

Many states do have their management plans for various species online, usually PDF documents, and those generally include an explanation of their hunt quotas and draw systems.

Gonna be some long reading. Big Grin
