My 11 year old shot this nice buck near our home in KY yesterday. He has passed up 30 bucks over the past 2 seasons waiting for a shot at a decent one with his crossbow. Pretty proud of him...

You have every right to be proud. Apparently his aim was exact judging what is visible. Good training on your part and I am sure this is the first of many for your son, Congradulations to the both of you!

Good on both of you!

Okay, tell us about the broadhead used. Looks like he stuck him just right and that it probably bled out like a crime scene.

Congrats. Wish we could get our young sportsmen and sporstwomen started deer hunting at that age here in NY.

Did he get to field dress it himself?

The very best possible end to a deer hunting trip. A youngster with a good animal, taken cleanly and safely. Well done to the lad and a hearty congrats to the father.

Matt - it is a Carbon Express COvert Crossbow with CX Crossbolts and 100 gr Rage broadheads. Buck was only 18 yards- so it was a chip shot, but he did it in low light and did it right...
