Talking to my taxidermist and he said that the 10 point that I took last season on my land was a 2 1/2 year old deer. He scored 140 and some change so there is hope of some real slungers out there ![]()

Yeah, that is great but now you need to let them grow up another 2-3 years. ![]() How hard will it be to NOT pull the trigger in the future? ![]() Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

Well, I guessed him at 3 1/2. Besides, I have lots of neighbors that will let nothing legal walk. With my land no where near covering there territory that makes it hard not to pull the trigger on something that nice.

I feel your pain brother. I'm in the same boat; however, my father just leased some of our property, about 3-4 years ago, to two groups of people who are praticing proper deer management. They are allowed to hunt about 800-900 acres each that are only separated by a small creek that you can walk across during the summer. Of course, my area is an adjacent 250 acres that they don't have access to that only I hunt in, which is some of the better property. Two years ago, one of the guys arrowed a 174 inch buck on one of these properties. Last year, I shot a young 2 year old 8-point (about a 100 class deer) and a doe, and my best buddy shot a 130-135 inch buck the only day we had to hunt. Plus, I got a coyote that afternoon, which was just icing on the cake! Good luck to you in the coming months!! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."
