Do you subscribe to Eastmans? I find their MRS section extremely useful for this exact type thing. If you PM me i can send you data on Arizona by unit, but all the top units are very hard to draw as we all know

Call Ryan Hatch at MULEY CRAZY magazine. He can give you the stats. Since non residents get only 10% of the tags, they are usually gone in the max point draw.

I'm sorry - I apologize. My response reflects my depression at the extremely low odds of drawing a mule deer tag in areas 12 or 13 in Arizona - ESPECIALLY, a non resident. I have a myriad of bonus points and have never been able to draw a tag from either area.

My advice - keep trying, you may get extremely lucky, but the vast majority will never get such a tag.

Actually, there is some good mule deer hunting in Texas (try Hunter Ross at Desert Safaris) or buy - at great expense - a land-owner tag in Utah or Nevada.

Again, I apologize. Good luck. AIU

No problem. I have been putting in for 13B for the last number of years and an outfitter from AZ told me at DSC that it was impossible(140 years statistically) to draw. He recommended 12a west as easier to draw but i'm not sure of the quality.
I afraid I don't have many good years left in my legs to do a proper hunt. Frustrated as well!!

12a west is a very good unit. Use Duwayne Adams if you draw.

This is the future of hunting in the USA (now 330 million people) - especially high-quality hunting. Either luck out on an extremely difficult-to-get tag or buy a land-owner tag and use an outfitter at great expense (i.e., a rich-man's sport).
