The results of the Colorado drawing are finally starting to trickle in.

No antelope for me this year. Just a $7.00 charge for my application and preference point.

Still waiting for deer results.

Makes me glad I am hunting Maine for black bear this fall.

It's been one of those years for me. Not sure exactly what I'll be doing but I guess it'll sort itself out at some point.

2019 Draws:
Wyoming NR reduced cow/calf tag
Nevada NR Premium late season mule deer tag
Nevada NR Premium antelope tag
Colorado Premium antelope tag
Colorado MZL High county buck tag
Colorado MZL cow elk tag

Still one state left to draw ... Oklahoma, which is a crap shoot, but who knows, I could possibly add another elk or antelope tag to the pile.

Good luck everyone!!!

I got my 11th Preference Point for DEER. I burned 21 Preference Points and drew a Bull tag for unit 40 near Grand Junction. Looking forward to hunting the second hunt starting Oct 19th. Now to get serious about what to shoot and get busy with loads and bullets. Good Shooting

Well I drawed my deer tag. Guess I will shoot up some 300 Win Mag ammo tomorrow to get in the spirit of things.

Finally got around to disassembling and reassembling a Ruger Mk III pistol I bought about a year ago. What a pain. The engineer who designed that pistol needs to be fired.

Sounds like some of you will be hunting this year.

Best of luck.

Well best of luck to her!

Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a young person take their first head of big game, whether it be a deer, an elk, or a bear. Taking an elk with a ML is
supercool!

"It has been one of those years..." At first I felt sorry for you; kind of like seeing the young guy so tired he can't stand up, then learning he was up all night with some hot babe.

Honestly, guys, I do not understand 'draws'. I would be despondent if I couldn't hunt deer off my own property where I (choose to) live. I've resided in three different states. Weird concept!

Yes, I have applied for said draws for antelope and moose (AND waited) but wow, waiting YEARS for a tag to hunt a deer or an elk in your own state?

Yikes....

Or worse.....waiting years to kill a deer or elk on your own land

Personally I find the 9 day season more annoying. You wait years for the tag you want and any little issue than comes up can screw up the whole deal. Out East of I-25 they are doing the seasons choice tag.....I really wish they would move to that for West of the Highway as well.Depends on the unit you hunt but at times it can take most of the season just find the Elk.

The problem is there are too many people in our country. Colorado has been overrun with people fleeing the Socialistic Republic of California.

The state has responded by macro managing almost every facet of every day life.

Hunting and fishing have become just one more “privilege” to be doled out by the state to the working class as they see fit.

I drew a cow moose, RFW cow elk, and a 3rd season buck tag, didn't draw antelope. my Granddaughter drew a doe deer tag and a doe antelope tag, she's 12 years old, first year big game hunting. My 15 year old Grandson drew a doe antelope first time hunting also. I can't wait to take them both hunting, we are all really excited.

In addition to my sheep tag I drew a 2nd season either sex deer tag and a 3rd season cow elk B tag, so I can buy an over the counter bull tag.

Can't believe it. I've been hunting in Africa, and my wife emailed me that I drew a cow elk and buck pronghorn this year in Colorado. Smiler

When I got home, she gave me more news that she was saving for a surprise. I drew a bull moose tag in Colorado as well. I've been applying for decades for this tag. Christmas came early! dancing

Hope I get him as this is a once in a lifetime tag by law if I remember correctly. Eeker
