Well fellas, wyoming was good to me this year, as you can see. I harvested this great buck at 296 yards with my BP Express muzzleloader with one pass through shot. I was shooting my 290gr FB-Xtreme bullet in front of 200gr of pyrodex. The buck scores 81 1/2 I never knew that antelope hunting was so much work until I went to wyoming. Chasing these goats over mountains and foothills instead of flat farms and ranches was quite a treat. We stalked this buck for almost 5 hours at over 4 miles! This is freakin crazy, I mean, it's an antelope! You know, drive, galss, shoot and load up! Not this one. The whole time was one revene after another, passing hundreds of eyes, getting busted and gettin lucky. At 296 yards, we were about out of any chance to get closer, you know the rest. My partner, Paul, shot a nice mid 70s buck at 349yds, with one shot. The bullet entered the left rear hind quarter and came out of the right front shoulder, stopping under the skin! It was awesome! Anyway, we had a great time and I must say that everybody that we ran into in wyoming was extremely friendly! Cheers......wapiti7 www.mzldrproducts.com

Nice antelope! Where and who did you hunt with? I understand obtaining a license is tough. Any details on hunt would be appreciated. rslus@hotmail.com

We drew the buck tags in the second draw. Although it was for a left over tag, we did good. We also bought 4 doe tags and killed 3. As far as where, we were in the casper area. Since we drew in the second drawing, we still maintained our preference points. wapiti7 ....he was 15 3/4 and 16 1/4 with just under 7 inch bases

Nice goat, bigger than any I have seen in 2 days of hunting, we seem to have had some kind of die off on our goats up here.

That is an AWESOME buck, damn near B&C, wow! That is a great shot with a ML, did you have a bdc reticle or such, or just holdover or what? Just curious. Congrats on a great trophy, and what sounds like a great hunt. Regards--Don

Don, Thanks a lot. Minimum B&C for long hunters for pronghorn is 63. So I think I'll enter this one. I'm shooting a B&C reticle in a Leupold VX-7. I'm pretty comfortable with the system, so I just put it on him and pulled the trigger.........down he went. ......wapiti7 www.mzldrproducts.com

Very cool Wapiti 7, I was only aware of the B&C min for centerfire rifles. Does 'long hunters' mean use of primitive weapons, i.e bows or ml's? I would certainly enter him in the book too! I would be interested to learn about the VX-7 and the reticle and how it matches up with ML's. Thanks for the intel--Don PS, I clicked on the link on your post, that looks like a great bullet, I would be interested if they come out with a .45 caliber!

Don, Actually "They" is me. The web site you went to is mine. Unfortuanatly, I have no plans for a .45 cal bullet, there is just not enough call for it. However, in the spring, I hope to be offering a .50 in 250gr. I will also be posting the rest of my new product line on the web site in the next 30 days or so. I am tring to get the word out about my new company, but its slow. I will be at the RMEF elk camp in Reno and the FNAWS western hunt expo in salt lake in February. Thanks for looking........wapiti7 www.mzldrproducts.com

Glad your hunt went so well wapiti7. I just fianlly realized who I've been talking to over the past few months. That is one fine Pronghorn and I can tell you he surpasses the Roland Ward minimum of 14.5 inches. Call me and we'll see about getting him entered if you wish. I would. Good to hear your gun performed as you had planned.
