I just drew a tag for bear hunting in the Baraga bear managment unit. I don't live in the UP and would like to know about good stand land areas to hunt up there. I do not want a guide, just any info anyone might have about hunting in that area.

Tons of state land in that area. Get a county map book. That will show you public land. You can give the DNR office in Newberry a call. They should be able to get you pointed in the right direction.
