Mustang Outfitters, if they are still in business, had great success on sheep. Jim Stahl was the owner, a great guy, hunter, and guide.

Congrats, what a special tag. I drew several years ago and used Jim Stahl. He knows where the sheep are depending on the weather. Be IN SHAPE! What unit did you draw?

I would call Greg Krogh of Mogollon Rim Outfitters and see who he recommends. He doesn't do sheep hunts but he knows NV and can get you pointed in the right direction. He will be unbiased and honest. He's as good as they come

If you would like his number you can either google his name and outfit or PM me and I'll give it to you. Tell him Drummond told you to call.

Remember 99% of the people that cry about how many points you had have never applied.

Some people draw at 30, some never draw, and some draw the first time.

Good luck on your ram.

RYRY4- I drew 161, Mt Jefferson, so don't know much about your area. If you are a member of the Huntn Fool, they work with outfitters on these draw tags and I have used them several times. It would be worth the $100/year membership, they give good advice. Good luck, I drew with 6 pts. Get in the best shape you can, you want to do everything you can to take advantage of this special tag.

Good job on drawing a desert tag with only 2 points. Nick Perchetti from Timberline outfitters will be guiding a friend of mine in 283 this year. He will have plenty of scouting time in the area and would be a good guy to contact.
John Zenz with Vergils guide service always gets big sheep and is a great guy. He is guiding somebody the first week of the season but he would have good information for you.
The best is always Victor Trujillo and Roy Lerg from Borrego guide service. I know they are busy the first week also but they have a lot of contacts and information on the sheep in the area. Hopefully they will be available after the third day of the season since they are guiding me for the PIW Desert tag this year.

Good luck.

Good luck to you as well. I've talked to John, Victor and Roy. I hired Wayne Cronister, Roy and John recommended him. He's been in the area lots in the past. Here's hoping we can put it together come November.
