If your looking for a land owner tag (no draw required) in NM, I have 4 left. Rifle hunt October 8-12th (5 days) in Unit 4 located between Chama & Taos. Private land covering over 10,000 acres. Has been Outfitted by a close friend of mine for over 20 years. Lots of references and repeat Hunters. Ranch overlooks the Brazos Cliffs. Hunts are done 2x1 and include lodging, food, field prep of Elk and HOT SHOWERS! Cost is $5,900 per Hunter plus $554 Elk tag. Bear may be added. Call me for info. Point restriction was dropped this year, so 295-300 class bulls would be your 6pt range. Outfitters wife took a 322 I believe a couple of years ago. Most will shoot the first 5 point they see, but it's up to the person behind the trigger. The area holds some better bulls but that takes hard hunting and a little luck.
