This past spring I took my first Rio Grande Turkey. I was impressed with the brilliant colors and when I took this bird with 1.25" spurs, I decided to have it mounted. It weighed under 18 pounds with a beard length of only 8.5 inches, but the spurs were longer than any other bird in camp. It is a hanging wall mount, but I wanted to capture some of its color so there were taken outside. I don't get into measuring all of the little bits on turkeys but that's a nice mount that will bring back memories. Any other photos of it? _______________________________  | |||
