Anyone want to come to AB?

DocAnyone want to come to AB?
I'm going to Alberta the week of May 28th for black bear (2 bear limit and wolf license included).
The guide has asked if I'll be bringing anyone along.
Would anyone like to go?
Cost is $3000 plus your license tags. Comes to about $3200 I think. They'd like a $1000 deposit. Fly to Edmonton on Sunday the 28th. Rent car (with me) and drive 4.5 hours north to Peace River area.
I went this past spring. Great time. Will most likely go back annually.

Fish30114Hey Doc, I'm interested, but I have a trip booked with the wife in may and don't have the dates with me right now, I'll check over the weekend and touch base. If the dates don't conflict I'd like to do it.
I've had some rotten luck chasing bears, and I'm due--so I'll follow up soon!
Thanks--Don

DocGreat. Hope you can come along!
Need to check that schedule though because my most recent email I received from the outfitter stated that 2 other guys confirmed that same week so make it happen!

DocOh, I will. The past few years a few 7-8 footers came out of this guy's camp and not one was black. They were all cinnamin, blonde, or chocolate. Very cool.
I pray I'm fortunate enough to get a shot at such a bear.

shootawayThat sounds very tempting, but I have other plans.

Docshootaway, I'll actually be flying out of Montreal to Edmonton.
I don't know much about that area. I'm seeing 2 airports when I look for flights. Are there 2 international airports there?

shootawayDoc,there is only one airport for commercial flights and that is the Pierre Eliot Trudeau airport, formely named Dorval airport. We used to have two airports ,Mirabel airport for international flights only but that closed down a few years ago.

Fish30114Doc, sorry for the delayed reply, but our DSL went down, and we don't have an alternative here, damn Alltel has a monopoly. At any rate I think I'm toast--me and the wife get back from vacation on the 28th, so actually not her fault--wouldn't fly with my boss/partner to be out back to back weeks. Maybe I can make it next year. If anything changes I'll touch base--hope you have great luck.
Merry Christmas--Don
