Ravenr,

he was estimated to be right around 280#-300#, maybe slightly above average for up there but not by much. Another guy in camp shot a mule deer that had to go 320#-340# + on the hoof, an absolute toad. They grow then big up there and I can't wait for late Nov 2009, Alberta is a phenomonal place to hunt... Big Grin

This is the only Big Game animal that I took this year, but I'm proud of it. I took this antelope in Wyoming on public land. At about 150 yards with my .250 Savage.

I don't shoot elk at 600 yards for the same reasons I don't shoot ducks on the water, or turkeys from their roosts. If this confuses you then you're not welcome in my hunting camp.

Free range Aoudad or Barbary Sheep killed in Texas West of Valentine along the Rio Grande. Rifle was a Remington 700 287yard shot 168g Berger VLD. DRT, what a hunt.
