Anyone heard from Tony? I have not seen him post anything since his Sheep hunt a year ago.

Interesting that you should post this. I was just thinking about Tony after I logged off last night.

He posted a hunt report on another forum regarding the sheep hunt. He was in failing health, if I'm not mistaken.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Maybe he is having health issues, and maybe, like others, he is simply tired of the nonsense that occurs on these sites.

Hey, Mike

Yesterday a little "birdie" called and told me you were asking about me here. Roll Eyes It was good talking to you again.

It's been more than a year since I posted anything here, and a couple months since I logged in here. Wading thru all of the vitriol, name-calling and F-bombs from a couple of obnoxious individuals caused me to lose interest. In fact, it became tiresome to see almost every thread eventually go down the toilet, and it appears nothing much has changed. But hey, at least it provided me more time to play golf a few days a week.

Well said Jason tu2
I certainly miss his contributions but I totally understand his comments above... tu2

I would say 90% of my customers don't post on AR anymore for the same reasons Tony gave.

general statistics show that ten-percent of the existing members of any organization/forum over the age of 25 bail after a year. Newbies replace them at about the same rate, so membership levels remain static.
