My Dad and I were discussing a New Mexico archery elk hunt. Do any of you know of any reputable outfitters that guide elk hunts? We do not want a reserve type of hunt that you pay for the size of the bull you shoot. Wild free ranging elk are what we would be after. Thanks!

Hello Jim

I would highly recommend Blue Mountain Outfitters. Outfitter/Owner Bob Atwood
505 864-6867
505 220-2879

They kill some nice elk with a bow/rifle and his hunts are very reasonable. His camp are very comfortable with excellent meals. Deadline is April 7th

Good Luck

Steve

Another kudo for Bob. If you don't draw a tag, get in touch. I outfit in Unit 36 and we take some very nice bulls on private landowner tags.

Jim, if you haven't put in for the draw, or if you have and aren't successful, I have two Outfitters that guide on private land with land owner tags. They are very limited tags so contact me ASAP if your interested.

I highly recommend Jim Bobb who lives in unit 36 and it will be a horse back/tent hunt in some great free range wilderness country. PM if you want more info. Must draw to hunt or pay the mordida for landowner tag.
