Got this of freerepublic this morning.

"Police shot and killed a coyote early Wednesday less than a mile from where a 5-year-old boy was attacked earlier this week."

"It was not immediately clear whether the animal that was killed was the same one that bit Brayden Gazette as he and his sister were walking near their home on Monday." ...

"She said the spot where the animal was killed is about three-quarters of a mile from her home." ...

"At one point, police officers found themselves on a slight elevation looking down on the coyote, and an officer used his .40-caliber handgun to shoot the animal, firing four to six times, Czech said."

"At least four other coyotes were spotted by police before the animal was killed, he said." ...

I still find it unfortunate that we as a society rely on public safety officers to do our public safety work.

Armed citizens of New Jersey wake up!

The fact that the policeman was able to get close enough to a coyote to shoot it with a .40 shows that these coyotes are habituated. Just what we need - predators that belive people are harmless.

Liberals believe that criminals are just like them and guns cause crimes. Conservatives believe criminals are different and that it is the criminals that cause crimes. Maybe both are right and the solution is to keep guns away from liberals.

That along with the fact that if a person doesn't rely on public safety officers then he/she is made out to be an outlaw etc.
