Here are a few pictures from my recent Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep hunt in Idaho. This sheep allowed me to complete my Grand Slam. I killed the ram on the 19th day of the hunt. I hunted unit 27-2 and 27-3 for the first 10 days of the hunt. The second 10 days was done as a float trip on the North Fork of the Salmon river in 27L. I hunted with Bighorn Outfitters out of Carmen Idaho. It was without question the most difficult sheep hunt I have done. The terrain was much more extreme than I had anticipated. It was an adventure to say the least.

19 days! You earned that beautiful ram. Central Idaho isn't for the faint of heart, it can be very intimidating for those who haven't ventured very far from the highway.

Super ram! Congrats.

I wanted to stop & rest just looking at your photos of that country. If I was actually there, I'd probably be close to death. Big Grin

I did an elk hunt with them last year, and thought that territory was rugged, but those pictures take it to another level. Congrats on a great ram and a heck of an adventure.

Thanks to all for the comments. It wasn't the "big" ram we were hoping for but it certainly looked good on day 19. It really was wicked awesome country and an adventure that I will never forget.

JabaliHunter - We believe the ram was 7 years old.
