Trail Boss revolver powder
Heavy bullet 200 gr
about 10 gr but use a Federal 215 primer
The velocity should be just over 1000 fps

only one problem:
May not cycle the FN-FAL gas system unless adapted

It becomes a manual loader. Not enough gas to cycle it.

tis what the recipe calls for
Got the same for other reduced loads using pistol powders from the ballisticians at Somchem
We used the equivalent in 458 Win mag and 375 H&H. You dont want a Hangfire !

OK. I can understand in .375 and .458. Don't understand in tiny .308 case. But Trail Boss could be different in many ways.

Never used Trail Boss, I use VV N32C, mostly for reduced .500 S&W loads.

What about the filler? Any specific material and/or weight?
