Who makes the most robust 30-30 brass?

KrochusWho makes the most robust 30-30 brass?
My savage 340 is rather hard on casings, after only 3 or 4 firings they begin to look rather pregnant just above the case head. So far I've been using Winchester casings but I wonder if another brand may hold up better.
That or are cases formed from 375win as tough as some handloaders are reporting.

max(hm2)i had a savage 219 at one time with a rather sloppy chamber and standaed 30-30 cases expanded bad. i tried the 375 brass reformed and it was better. not great but it didn't expand as bad

tom ga hunterI make my 7-30 cases out of Winchester 375's but would not bet they are any better than those made out of 30-30 brass.

boom stickseems you have a lose chamber...
sell the gun and get a new one cuzz the smithing or the current problem aint worth it.

If you are doing a lot of paper work with the 340 you might want to go to cast bullets and re duced loads or the plated Berrey 150gr. bullets at 1700 to 1800fps. The reduced pressure of course will minimize the case swelling.
If you are useing it for hunting a few swollen cases once a year is no big thing.
If you take Boomy's advice let me know what you'd be asking for the 340.

I might take you up on that offer at some point in the not so distant future, But right now I'm finishing a thumbhole stock for the thing. But that interarms mark X in 280 at the gunshop sure is nice..... But your right with bear creek cast bullets pushed to only 1800 this issue really doesn't arise.
As for the MAS I haven't shot it much since perfecting that insanely accurate 170grn load, It just kinda took the challenge out.

.366torque375 win, brass is built MUCH stronger than 30-30 brass. It is really easy to neck down as well.
