Found this today - 1940s (maybe pre) Mauser:









Barrel is is marked with P (for proof), 30 06, and J. A.
Receiver is etched with name _____________ Mauser (sorry best pic I could do):



Need to know quick if I am to make offer.

Hell, the sight alone is worth $150. Small ring 98, probably a Kar. Some question the wisdom of a cartridge of that presure in these actions.

Do what I do when in doubt, low ball em.
