I just emailed barnes for loading info for the new 150 gr tsx. They told me that they have not published it yet and use the load for the 150 gr x bullet.then to top it all off my {great}so called wife accadently threw my barnes mannual out in the trash because it was laying on the kicthen table insted of my loading bench. So if anyone could help me with these it would be a good end to a bad day thanks
I Have my Barnes manual in front of me....There's loads with 18 different powders for the 150 grain...what are you looking for exactly? I'll be glad to help you.
Hate to be a spoil sport but why are we shooting a 150gr bullet in a .300WM ????? Wow, kinda like putting pipes on your VW. Not that a .300WM is a VW but its kinda a silly assed combo.

HEY, BEEMAN I DONT KNOW WHERE FRAMETOWN IS BUT WHERE I HUNT IN WV THERE ARE ALOT OF OPEN FEILDS WHERE YOU CAN SHOOT ALONG WAY.AND FACE IT MOST THE DEER IN WV ARE NOT HUGE SO I WANTED TO SEE HOW THE 150S WOULD DO
If you're hunting deer in WV with a .300, you need more than help with a load for a 150gr bullet. What, exactly, is a "long way"? Do you have any idea? I live just about in the middle of the state. While I might be able to shoot a couple of hundred yards down a power line right of way, I don't as the worthwhile bucks don't hang out "in a pasture". They don't get big by being stupid.

If you look at the trajectory and energy charts for the 150 vs 165 gr in the Barnes manual, you'll see there is no advantage to the 150 gr. To 300 yds, they are within 1" of eachother in trajectory, but the 150 gr sheds it's velocity faster, and is going about the same speed as the 165 when they reach 300 yds. Past 300 yds the 165 gr will retain it's velocity better, so will "hit harder", and fly a tad flatter. The heavier bullet will also be more stable in the wind.
