<BCSteve>I Have my Barnes manual in front of me....There's loads with 18 different powders for the 150 grain...what are you looking for exactly? I'll be glad to help you.

mountain_hunteri am pretty stuck on reloder 19 and 22 so if those 2 are in there that would be fine or what looks to be the best load

<BCSteve>for regular 150 X
RL19 71.5 grain 3080fps max:76.5 grain 3295fps
RL22 74.5 grain 3056fps max:79.5 grain 3261fps
for the 150 XLC
RL19 77.0 grain 3145fps max:82.0 grain 3349fps
RL22 80.0 grain 3191fps max:85.0 grain 3390fps
RL22 is one of the powder they recommende for both the "X" and XLC, it also give the highest velocity in both. Let me know if you want more powder.

beemanbemeHate to be a spoil sport but why are we shooting a 150gr bullet in a .300WM ????? Wow, kinda like putting pipes on your VW. Not that a .300WM is a VW but its kinda a silly assed combo.

mountain_hunterHEY, BEEMAN I DONT KNOW WHERE FRAMETOWN IS BUT WHERE I HUNT IN WV THERE ARE ALOT OF OPEN FEILDS WHERE YOU CAN SHOOT ALONG WAY.AND FACE IT MOST THE DEER IN WV ARE NOT HUGE SO I WANTED TO SEE HOW THE 150S WOULD DO

beemanbemeIf you're hunting deer in WV with a .300, you need more than help with a load for a 150gr bullet. What, exactly, is a "long way"? Do you have any idea?
I live just about in the middle of the state. While I might be able to shoot a couple of hundred yards down a power line right of way, I don't as the worthwhile bucks don't hang out "in a pasture".
They don't get big by being stupid.

Paul HIf you look at the trajectory and energy charts for the 150 vs 165 gr in the Barnes manual, you'll see there is no advantage to the 150 gr. To 300 yds, they are within 1" of eachother in trajectory, but the 150 gr sheds it's velocity faster, and is going about the same speed as the 165 when they reach 300 yds. Past 300 yds the 165 gr will retain it's velocity better, so will "hit harder", and fly a tad flatter. The heavier bullet will also be more stable in the wind.
