| Most of my rifles have Mauser-type claw extractors like yours. By just putting a round in the chamber and slamming tho bolt home, you will force the extractor to slip over the extractor groove. While most rifles will probably put up with this whithout protest, I for one am somewhat uncomfortable with the practice. When I load my rifles to full capacity, i push the round halfway into the chamber, and then press the case head down a little. This allows it to slip under the extractor, instead of forcing the extractor over. Also, this practice is easier on your case rims. Good shootin!
